Girona Grapevine

The first original version film was shown last month for the first time at Ocine in Girona.  We were all hoping for a good turn out so that the owners would be convinced to make this a regular feature.  Well, we are pleased to report that the owners should be very chuffed because on a dark, cold midweek evening their picture house was packed and even sold out of popcorn!  Nearly 400 tickets were sold and they had to end up showing the film in two of their multiplex cinemas as there were so many people!  Well done to all that came along and supported this new initiative.

We have to thank Saskia & Dave of Girona Cycle Centre/Bike Breaks for initiating this and encouraging the Cinema that it would be a good idea – they were not wrong.

Please come along to the next film which is even suitable for older children.  The next feature is ‘Little Fockers’.  Many of us may have seen the Focker films (great cast including Robert De Niro, Barbara Strisand,  Dustin Hoffman, Ben Stiller & Owen Wilson) but this latest film reveals that the Focker Family have produced children and should be very funny & entertaining.  It’s a great price too – only 4 euros a ticket, what a bargain!  Hope to see as many of you as possible!  Don’t forget!
