Once a month, on the last Sunday of the month, a service is held in Madremanya Parish Church at 12am. It’s followed by a bring-and-share lunch at a beautiful masia close by.
Our next service will be held on Sunday, February 26th at the usual time of 12.00 noon. The Revnd. Andrew Tweedy (Chaplain of St. George’s, Barcelona) will preside and preach at this service of Holy Communion.
I hope you can make it to one of the services, you would be very welcome – do make yourself known.
For more details, visit the web-site at www.cb-c.org. Feel free to contact the leader, John Copestake, his e-mail address is on the Contacts page.
Best wishes,
Steve

I’ve just updated my web-site so I thought I’d publish a note on the Blog about it. There’s no point in painting pictures if no one looks at them, is there! “All me own work” was the name of an exhibition I had in Celrà three years ago (maybe longer ago than that). I’m sure the name confused my Spanish friends and readers of Diari de Girona. It is an old English phrase which was used by street artists in the past – a little self-disparaging!
I tend to paint in the mornings and spend time polishing the web-site later in the day but, today, I’m off to the GG coffee morning and then I’ll go swimming in the municipal pool …

Peter and Debra (the organisers of GGV) have neglected keeping the posts up to date. Our apologies. We are both parents of a young family and run a business in Girona. So, we hope to forgiven for the lack of updating of this site . As you can all understand, this has meant a lot of travelling back & forth to the UK and what with us being working parents and all the normal domestic demands of family life we have neglected our duties to GGV. However, Girona Grapevine is …

This is just to announce the safe arrival of a baby boy in Girona to Montse and her husband earlier this month (May 2011). We haven’t been told the name, birth weight or the birthday just yet but are delighted to know that Mother and Baby are reported as doing very well. However, we are told that Montse has asked for privacy at this time. All members of Girona Grapevine wish the family many congratulations, to be sure!

Reishi mushrooms strengthen the immune system and improve blood circulation.
Magnesium is very good at removing heavy metals from the body.
Gingko Biloba, garlic, ginger are also very useful.
