All me own work

I’ve just updated my web-site so I thought I’d publish a note on the Blog about it. There’s no point in painting pictures if no one looks at them, is there! “All me own work” was the name of an exhibition I had in Celrà three years ago (maybe longer ago than that). I’m sure the name confused my Spanish friends and readers of Diari de Girona. It is an old English phrase which was used by street artists in the past – a little self-disparaging!
I tend to paint in the mornings and spend time polishing the web-site later in the day but, today, I’m off to the GG coffee morning and then I’ll go swimming in the municipal pool at Palau, Girona. There’s normally an aquarobics class at the same time, so the water tends to be a bit choppy! Also, this leaves only 3 lanes free so one has to avoid the swimmer(s) coming in the opposite direction. Maybe the coffee morning could be changed to another day so that I can swim in peace!
Ah yes, the name of my web-site is www.mezcla.biz

Hi STEVE,
the quietest days at municipal pool at Palau are: Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. I always use one of these days.
The price for pensionists is approx. 30.00€ p. year. Very cheap!!!
Regards
Helge
Helge,
How nice to hear from you! I will take note, I imagined weekends would be busier. Maybe bump into you in one of the lanes. I know about the price, great isn’t it!
Best wishes,
Steve

About GG in Brief
Hello there! We are a group of English speakers (of many different nationalities ) who like to get together from time to time for a chat, to make friends, exchange information and sometimes organise social events.
If you are in Girona on a Wednesday, you could pop into La Farinera café ( Sta Eugènia 42) between roughly 11.00 am—1pm and say hello. There may be a lot of people, but sometimes nobody can make it, although this is generally only the case during holiday times when people are busy with visitors or travelling. We don’t meet in the summer (July and August).
Although we welcome everyone, we have to warn people that we are not a conversation exchange for English learners. Conversation is fast and colloquial and very difficult to follow unless you are a fluent speaker.
