Staying healthy in an increasingly toxic world

In light of the latest environmental crisis and the rush to stock up on Potassium Iodide in the UK and other places,I thought perhaps the following tips might come in handy:
Go for the curry!Curcumin the active ingredient in turmeric has anti-cancer and radiation-reducing properties
Stock up on the seaweeds before the seas get polluted everywhere such as Kelp – a very good natural source of iodine.Spirulina and Chlorella are blue-green algae effective in minimizing effects of radiation, having the ability to remove toxins from the body.
Reishi mushrooms strengthen the immune system and improve blood circulation.
Magnesium is very good at removing heavy metals from the body.
Gingko Biloba, garlic, ginger are also very useful.
Antioxidants help the body defend itself againts radiation damage.
Last but not least, homeopathic remedies have been used with success to counteract the side-effects of radiation therapy as well as chemotherapy in cancer patients and are being used at the moment in Japan.Homeopathic remedies have helped in ridding the body of harmful effects of x-rays,mammograms, long-haul flight radiation etc..
In short , strengthening the immune system through proper nutrition(cutting down on sugar for one, eating lots of greens), drinking lots of water, exercising, not over-medicating(all medicines have side-effects), using natural gentle therapies such as homeopathy, accupuncture, reflexology, herbal etc….and most of all staying positive!

Thanks for your comments, Michelle. This is really interesting especially to me, who has been through chemo and radiotherapy. I know you are an English speaking homeopath so that’s useful for all our members to be aware of should they need further advice. Love & Light, Debra
Thanks Debra!I don’t know whether you or anyone would be interested in getting a group together for either a seminar or informal talk on the topic of health? I would also like to give a short course on” homeopathy for the family” looking at health issues from a different perspective that focuses on a pro-active approach rather than a reactive one,and that aims to strengthen the immune system. How do we protect ourselves and our children from the onslaught of chemicals, radiation,side- effects of medical treatment.. ? What can we do to make sure that the younger generation doesn’t end up sicker than the parents? These are issues that interest me and if this resonates with anybody else perhaps we can organise something.
Love
Michelle

About GG in Brief
Hello there! We are a group of English speakers (of many different nationalities ) who like to get together from time to time for a chat, to make friends, exchange information and sometimes organise social events.
If you are in Girona on a Wednesday, you could pop into La Farinera café ( Sta Eugènia 42) between roughly 11.00 am—1pm and say hello. There may be a lot of people, but sometimes nobody can make it, although this is generally only the case during holiday times when people are busy with visitors or travelling. We don’t meet in the summer (July and August).
Although we welcome everyone, we have to warn people that we are not a conversation exchange for English learners. Conversation is fast and colloquial and very difficult to follow unless you are a fluent speaker.
